Tanzania Development Trust

What we don't do

• We don’t fund projects in countries other than Tanzania. It is no good applying for a project in India, for example.

• We don’t pay school fees.

• We don’t give any personal grants or bursaries to individuals for training or college or university courses, whether in Tanzania, UK or elsewhere.

• We don’t pay fares for volunteers to go to Tanzania or for Tanzanians to come to Britain.

• We don’t purchase or assist with the purchase of motor-vehicles and we don’t contribute to their maintenance.

• We don’t pay for any wages or salaries in projects.

• We don’t pay for medical treatment.

• We don’t pay the running costs of projects – for example rent; water and electricity bills; food etc.

• We don’t give any grants for specifically religious activities e.g. building mosques or churches, training ministers, evangelism etc.

• We don’t give any grants for specifically political activities.

• We will never pay a bribe or inducement to assist a project.
