STOP PRESS. An Anonymous Trust has donated the money so that this project can proceed! Basanza dispensary serves a village population of 8645 The Dispensary has 12 rooms and TDT and a local NGO have provided solar lighting and power. Now the new application is for a well prepared, carefully costed and highly recommended application to dig a new Shallow Ring Well, concrete lined with screen system and concrete head fitted SWN80 direct hand pump. District water engineers have advised on location and construction. Auger investigations completed to confirm appropriate 5 metre lowest water table during the year and that water will be available all year round. This replaces an old existing shallow well, now dry. Water for the Dispensary currently has to be collected from 5 Kms. by motorised bike trailer. This will also benefit the village community.
