We are very grateful to the Trustees of an Anonymous Trust which has provided the grant for the toilets for this school.TDT Project Officer Jonathan Pace writes of a visit made in August 2011: "Of all my visits this school posed the greatest challenge in terms of numbers of pupils in classes, very overcrowded classes, poor quality accommodation, even more terrible state of latrines and just a general feeling of being overwhelmed by a failing situation. Numbers have increased in far greater proportion than the accommodation was ever built for, probably due to a massive influx of families during recent years into the urban environment. The school is situated out on the north side of town on a high and very dry and sandy / dusty area with strong winds whipping across the very exposed grounds. Having said that there was tremendous enthusiasm from the children for my visit." This school has huge needs in terms of desks, textbooks and new latrines.
