Payroll Giving is an efficient way to make regular donations to the Tanzania Development Trust. Check with your employer to see if Payroll Giving is an option for you. For more information visit www.payrollgivingcentre.org.uk
ONE-OFF DONATIONS
- Make an amazing gift via a Legacy.
- Smaller donations via JustTextGiving.
- A one-off donation direct to the Trust, via cheque or JustGiving.
- NEW! Turn your old car into cash for TDT's work via car donation scheme Giveacar.
The 2011 Budget announced a reduction in Inheritance Tax from 40% to 36% on estates leaving at least 10% to charity. You can download TDT's brochure on legacy giving HERE. This explains how a legacy to TDT would enable us to make an enduring difference to others' lives. We strongly advise consulting your solicitor if amending your Will.
Pure Charity - www.purecharity.org.uk - also offers a service enabling you to set up a simple codicil to your Will. Click the link and search for Tanzania Development Trust under Charities in the top menu bar
Smaller donations can now simply be given by text, via JustTextGiving. Our code is TDTA88. Just text that code plus your donation amount (must be either £1, £2, £3, £4, £5, or £10) to the number 70070. Thus, a text message reading TDTA88£10 would send us £10, added to your next phone bill or deducted from your pay-as-you-go credit. A call back will give you the opportunity to gift aid your donation. There is a limit of £30 per month per individual. Click here for FAQs on JustTextGiving
JustGiving is an easy way to make donations to the Trust, including a one-click Gift Aid option. Our fund raising page can be found on www.justgiving.com/tdt/. To make a one-off donation direct to TDT, please send your donation to the Treasurer, Robert Gibson (address alongside). And if appropriate, please don't forget to include a gift aid form.
NEW! TDT has signed up to Giveacar, the UK's first car donation scheme. Proceeds of scrapped or sold cars go to charities nominated by the car owner. You call them, they collect, the car is scrapped or sold, and 75% of the proceeds are sent to TDT. Also vans, lorries, motor cycles. Proceeds reach the charity typically within 6 weeks. So if you have a vehicle ready for car heaven, its last journey can make a positive difference in Tanzania.
