Our Tanzania Development Trust changes lives! Think of having only light from a mobile phone to deliver a baby – we provide solar power for full light and a fridge for medicines. Set up in 1975, we have 39 years’ successful experience of working with project partners on small-scale projects in the poorest areas.

Run entirely by volunteers, with no admin or fund-raising costs, we can truly say that Every pound raised goes to projects in Tanzania. We know all our projects and we can tell our donors down to the nearest village, exactly where their money goes and who is benefiting. We fund clean water for villages; maize mills so women don’t trudge 20 km with heavy loads; vocational training in building, tailoring and IT; start-up business projects like fish-farming and bee-keeping, textbooks and science equipment for secondary schools.
